I strongly believe that you have to wear what makes YOU feel the most comfortable because when you feel good, you radiate confidence. Who doesn’t love a confident woman?

Let’s start with the different body types, so you can determine yours…

Pear-shaped: your lower body is larger than your upper body

Apple-shaped: you are curvy, larger in the waist

Hourglass: you have a defined waist, with a balanced upper/lower body

Rectangular: straight, no curve at  the waistline

Inverted triangle: your upper body is larger than your lower body

 

Now that you know your body shape, do you know which style of jeans looks best on you? Most women know what makes them FEEL good. We want to look in the mirror and like what we see. That is what is most important…that you feel good, are comfortable, and feel your best! So, no matter what body type you are and what the charts say, wear what makes you feel your best!

There are so many Jean styles to choose from. It can be overwhelming to shop, but hopefully this guide will help you with your choices.


Pear-shaped
: Pear shaped figures look incredible in straight leg jeans. These jeans are snug in the waist, but elongate and “slim down” the legs. Trouser jeans are also a great option! You can pull off bootcut jeans, barrel jeans, and wide-leg jeans. Go for it! Try a new style and see which one makes you feel best!

Darker jeans are your friend, as they “slim” the legs. Lighter washed jeans tend to make the legs look thicker. Beware of jeans with small back pockets, as they can make your butt look larger, as well.

 

Apple-shaped: Straight leg jeans are your new best friend. These jeans will give you a longer, slimmer look. Again, dark wash jeans are best for your body type. Avoid light wash and acid-wash patches in the thigh area. Boot-cut jeans and wide-leg jeans are also great options.
Be careful with cropped jeans and low-rise or high-rise jeans. A mid-rise, full length jean will elongate your legs and give you that confidence to slay the day!

Hourglass: Break out the bootcut and flare jeans, girl! These styles will fit snug in your smaller waist, accentuating your curves. The wider legs will balance out your curves. You can pull off skinny jeans, but try to avoid the skin-tight jeans. Go for the stretch! Wide-leg jeans and barrel jeans are also great choices!

 

Rectangular-shaped: Skinny jeans are your best choice, girlfriend! Go for low-rise jeans that sit on your hips to give the look of a curvier body. If you happen to have a flatter butt, choose jeans with larger pockets. This will make your butt look a little larger. The higher the pockets are, the better!

You can also pull of bootcut jeans and wide-leg jeans, but opt for the low-rise!

 

Inverted triangle: Wide-leg jeans and boot-cut jeans are your jam! These styles will provide more balance to your body shape. Avoid the barrel jeans and skinny jeans, skinny jeans will just accentuate your thinner legs and make your top half look larger.
